Hawai´i Wildlife Center Groundbreaking Ceremony

We are pleased to announce the latest milestone in the development of the HAWAI‘I WILDLIFE CENTER. The planning, design, and pre-construction phases are complete due to the huge contribution of professional time and expenses by our design and construction team. We are now kicking off our site-work phase that includes grading, drainage, wastewater and utilities. 

HWC has raised over 70% of the construction funds inclusive of the land donation by Surety Kohala Corporation, the development office donation by the New Moon Foundation; seven important grants from: The State of Hawaii, Wendy P. McCaw Foundation, Atherton Family Foundation, Cooke Foundation, Ltd, Hawaii Electric Light Company-HEI Foundation, West Hawaii Fund of the Hawaii Community Foundation, LeBurta Atherton Foundation, Kilauea Point Natural History Association, Kaua‘i, and the Hawai‘i Audubon Society; community contributions and in-kind professional services.
