June 16, 2007 Hawaii Wildlife Center-Kohala
Linda Elliott, Executive Director of the planned facility, and Scott Bedingfield, project manager, talked story about the proposed Hawaii Wildlife Center. The Center is to be built in Kapa'au, and will provide a large facility equipped to deal with rehab of injured or damaged Hawaii birds, plus an education center and opportunities for the public to see, learn, and help. They've received $500,000 from the Hawaii State Legislature, plus they are getting services donated by the architect, builder (Phil Tinguely) and project manager, Scott Bedingfield. We hope to see this facility next year!
