The Hawaii Wildlife Center (HWC) reached an important milestone on December 19 when the office was moved from temporary space donated by the New Moon Foundation the past two years to an on-site construction trailer near Kohala Middle School.
The 40-foot trailer includes space for three offices; the Hawaii Wildlife Center development office in two rooms and Tinguely Development, Inc. (TDI) construction management in the third office.

Through rain, heavy lifting and mosquitoes, Rob Shallenberger, Pete Hendricks, Tom Morse and Linda Elliott made the move to the trailer so that HWC President Elliott could be closer to the project as construction of the facility begins.
Grateful thanks are extended by HWC to the New Moon Foundation for providing former office space use, to Cantor Bros. Transportation Services, Inc. who donated transportation of the trailer, to Tinguely Development, Inc. who has donated use of the trailer, and to Hawaii Modular Space’s Leonard Librizzi who set up and now manages the trailer for TDI.
While trailer users await power to hook up computers, cell phone service is in place and Elliott can be reached (808) 345-8421.
The Hawaii Wildlife Center, to be built in North Kohala, is dedicated to the care and conservation of Hawaii's threatened wildlife through hands-on treatment, research, training, and cultural & educational programs. Fundraising efforts continue for the 501c (3) non-profit corporation. For more information or to make a donation, contact Linda Elliott, HWC president, at (808) 345-8421 or by email.
