Funding & Services Received

Since its incorporation in January 2006, the Hawai‘i Wildlife Center has reached out to local government, Hawai‘i’s conservation community, and the private sector. The response has been generous and heartening. Critically, a talented team of design and construction professionals has rallied to the mission of building our wildlife recovery center. With the donation of two acres from the Surety Kohala Corporation, our site was dedicated in April 2007 with groundbreaking following in June 2008.

To date, HWC has received generous donations from government and private grants, in-kind professional services and materials, and community donations. We are now at 75% of our fund development campaign. To all who have supported us, we extend a grateful mahalo nui loa.

Now, we ask you to help us meet our capital construction target of $748,000 to build the HWC facility and open its doors in 2009.
