Fund Appeal - Build it and they will fly
We have made tremendous progress and here is where we stand. HWC’s 2-acre building site has been donated. Amid much celebration, our site was dedicated in April 2007 with the groundbreaking ceremony in June 2008. Architectural and construction plans are complete. The grading permit has been secured and site work is in progress. We have received a Special Permit from the County Planning Commission and our building permit application has been submitted. $2,967,000 is needed to build this facility. $2,218,000 (75%) has been raised to date. Construction will begin once an additional $748,000 has been raised.

The Hawai‘i Legislature made a $500,000 grant-in-aid to launch HWC’s start-up. Other grantmakers, donors and in-kind contributors also have rallied to our cause. Now we ask you to help.
