Wildlife Rehabilitation Manager (Hawai‘i Island)
Full-time, salary
The Wildlife Rehabilitation Manager is responsible for managing native Hawaiian wildlife response, stabilization and animal care operations at the main Hawaiʻi Wildlife Center located on Hawaiʻi Island and ensure that the Hawaiʻi Wildlife Center’s high standards for animal welfare are met through appropriate wildlife care practices and husbandry. The Wildlife Rehabilitation Manager reports directly to the Director of Wildlife Rehabilitation and Veterinary Medicine (DWRVM). Candidates must be able to professionally manage the main facility operations and assist the satellite facilities (Oʻahu, Lānaʻi) in coordination with the DWRVM, wildlife agencies and assisting veterinary clinics. Candidates should possess the ability to act decisively regarding changing cases and situations and further develop HWC protocols in consultation with the DWRVM.
Facility Maintenance Technician (Hawai‘i Island)
Part time, hourly
The Facility Maintenance Technician (FMT) carries out duties necessary for the care and maintenance of the two-acre facilities and protection of our wildlife patients. The FMT responsible for basic care, maintenance and repair of the facility, including interior, exterior structures. This position is to be scheduled for twice weekly (approximately 5-16 hours/week) for general maintenance and can have additional hours as needed for projects up to 19 hours/week.
